Graduation Ceremony of LZPU for Class of 2025 Held

Attendees included university leaders Liu Zilin, Gan Jinming, Li Shanwen, Qu Fan, Ran Fusong, and Qiu Fuming, along with heads of various university departments, secondary schools, property management companies, teaching teams, and programs. Also in attendance were faculty representatives, student affairs directors, Youth League Committee secretaries, student staff, all graduating class advisors, graduates, and their families. They gathered to witness the moment when the Class of 2025 set sail full of achievements. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Qu Fan.
The graduation ceremony commenced with the solemn national anthem. Gan Jinming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of LZPU, delivered a speech titled Set Sail and Forge Ahead with Craftsmanship, extending warm congratulations and heartfelt blessings to the graduates. As the graduates prepared to embark on new journeys beyond the campus, he shared three expectations from their alma mater: First, to aspire high and become strivers who serve the nation with their skills. He encouraged them to uphold the spirit of "pursuing excellence with meticulous craftsmanship", resist frivolity with focus, and earn respect through mastery, realizing their ideals in contributing to the nation's development. Second, to uphold integrity and responsibility, becoming down-to-earth practitioners. He urged them to carry forward the university's ethos of "being a down-to-earth person and working conscientiously", adhere to quality standards, honor integrity and commitments, and shoulder social responsibilities, thereby anchoring the value of their diverse lives. Third, to embrace the future proactively and become innovative pioneers. He called on them to integrate traditional craftsmanship with new technologies, venture into uncharted technical territories, and unlock infinite career possibilities with cross-disciplinary thinking, driven by craftsmanship. He affectionately told the graduates, "No matter where you go, your alma mater will always stand behind you as your warmest harbor and strongest support. You are welcome to return anytime! May you march forward with light, setting sail with ambition!"
The decision to confer graduation upon the Class of 2025 and the announcement of the Excellent Graduates of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were read on the site. Liu Zilin, Secretary of the Party Committee of LZPU, presented honorary certificates to representatives of the Excellent Graduates of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Subsequently, graduate representatives presented flowers to faculty, administrative staff, advisors, dormitory managers, security personnel, cleaners, and cafeteria staff as a token of their sincere gratitude for their dedication. Liao Hongwen, a recipient of the Bronze Award in the 9th China International College Students' Innovation Competition, an Excellent Graduate of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in 2025, and an Outstanding Student Cadre of Liuzhou City, delivered a speech as a graduate representative, sharing his growth journey.
As the ceremony drew to a close, the audience sang Stars and the Sea and Rice Field together. Gan Jinming presented diplomas to graduate representatives and took group photos with them. Random interactions between students and the president added laughter and warmth to the event.
The Class of 2025 comprises 4,148 graduates, who have been participants and witnesses to the university's high-quality development. Over the past three years, LZPU has successfully been established as an undergraduate vocational university. It has passed the final acceptance for the National Double High-Quality Plan and initiated the application for the new round of the Plan. It has been selected as one of the first national municipal industry-education consortiums, become a founding member of the World Technical and Vocational Education and Training League, ranked among the top three in the 2025 Vitality Ranking of China's Higher Vocational Colleges for Industry-Education Integration, and won 3 gold medals in the World Vocational College Skills Competition, 2 first prizes in the National Vocational College Skills Competition, and 2 gold medals in the China International College Students "Internet+" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. These achievements owe much to the support and contributions of the students, who have added boundless brilliance to the university with their youth and wisdom.
May all graduates carry the alma mater's expectations with them, persevere on the journey of pursuing dreams with craftsmanship, and contribute to a brilliant era with their skills.
